Hadrian, an offensive cybersecurity startup in Amsterdam, is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to build our autonomous security platform. You will design high-performance backend services and distributed systems powering agentic AI capabilities, focusing on scalable, real-time vulnerability analysis at internet scale.

You'll work in a hacker-minded team, solve complex scalability challenges, and shape architectural decisions with a strong emphasis on robust APIs and data pipelines using Kafka,

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience building large-scale distributed systems or features.
• Proficiency in GoLang, Python, C#, and PostgreSQL.
• Background in cybersecurity.
• Experience using AI pragmatically to accelerate development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain event-driven backend components for the offensive security platform.
• Translate strategies into robust, high-quality code.
• Architect and deploy backend services powering Agentic AI capabilities.
• Write high-concurrency, low-latency code in Go and Python with scalable APIs.
• Design data pipelines using Kafka and Kubernetes-based tooling.
