Job summary

Doghouse Recruitment is seeking a Backend .NET Engineer for a high-traffic Amsterdam platform. You’ll build .NET 8 microservices on Kubernetes, powering search, data streams and live tools with Azure cloud.

You’ll join a fast-paced feature team, own production behavior, review code, and share knowledge with experienced engineers who know the platform inside out. Hybrid work with on-site presence in Amsterdam.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer in .NET Core.
• Strong experience with C# and .NET Core, ideally .NET 8.
• Experience with microservices and event-driven architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Azure.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines; Azure DevOps is a plus.
• Currently living in the Netherlands, fluent English; Dutch is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine the .NET 8 services behind the user-facing features.
• Own the behavior of services in production and contribute to production readiness.
• Perform code reviews and share knowledge within the team.
• Collaborate closely with experienced engineers who know the platform well.
• Participate in feature teams delivering scalable backend solutions.
