Redwood Software is seeking a Senior Backend Software Developer for its RunMyJobs (RMJ) team. You will design and deliver backend services powering the enterprise automation platform, shaping architecture, and ensuring secure, scalable integrations.

You will mentor developers, improve performance, and collaborate with Product and Engineering to deliver value. Join a cloud-first environment prioritizing reliability and innovation.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional backend software development experience with Java 11/17 or later.
• Strong experience with Spring Boot and production-grade services, APIs, and microservices.
• Experience designing distributed systems emphasizing scalability, resiliency, security, and maintainability.
• Proficiency with relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL), including schema design, SQL, and ORM (Hibernate/JPA).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and container tech (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience testing backend systems with JUnit and API testing frameworks.
• Ability to diagnose production issues and implement lasting improvements.
• Strong communication and collaboration in an agile environment.
• Experience mentoring developers and contributing to technical direction.

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Java and Spring.
• Contribute to distributed system architecture, including service boundaries and data flows.
• Design and optimize relational data models and persistence layers for performance.
