Job summary

Quatt is hiring a Senior Full-Stack Engineer focused on the backend, with 80% backend work on telemetry pipelines and cloud platform, and ~20% on React dashboards and React Native apps. You will design APIs, work across Node.js/TypeScript, MySQL/Prisma, and AWS, collaborating with hardware and embedded teams.

You’ll join the Software & Infrastructure team to scale an IoT platform for heat pumps and home batteries, ensuring performance, reliability, and cost efficiency while shipping features

Qualifications

• 5+ years of engineering experience with strong TypeScript across the stack and backend focus (Node.js).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
• Comfortable building UIs in React; React Native is a plus, not required.
• Solid experience with relational databases and data modeling (MySQL with Prisma); knowledge of time-series DBs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve the backend behind customer apps, installer tools and internal dashboards.
• Work on the telemetry pipeline ingesting and processing data from heating systems and batteries.
• Develop energy-related platform features like home-battery charging strategies and dynamic tariffs.
• Design OpenAPI APIs and integrate with third-party platforms.
• Help architect cloud infrastructure for performance, scalability, and cost.
• Build and own internal dashboards in React and the customer app in React Native.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the Netherlands to ship features.
