Job summary

Secfi is building the private wealth stack for employees and executives with equity. We seek a Senior Backend Engineer to build the systems behind consequential financial decisions, focusing on probabilistic modelling, multi-jurisdiction tax logic, and asset forecasting.

You’ll own Maeve, the agentic hub, plus the calculation engines and core product surfaces, turning manual processes into scalable software and ensuring accuracy in a domain where correctness matters.

Qualifications

• Strong Python and production service experience.
• Real product experience with customer-facing systems.
• Solid SQL and relational database skills.
• REST API design and implementation experience.
• Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS).
• Comfort with a technology-agnostic approach.
• Proactive domain understanding and ownership.
• STEM degree or equivalent background.

Responsibilities

• Build the Maeve hub systems connecting financing, wealth and planning data.
• Develop core calculation engines: tax logic, modelling and Forecaster.
• Create customer-facing equity planning surfaces.
• Transform manual financing workflows into scalable software.
• Measure impact and verify outcomes of your work.
