Job summary

Nebius is seeking a senior/Staff Engineer to lead the mk8s Core team, owning the API, core control plane, autoscaling, and platform integrations. You will start as an IC to gain context, then take on managerial responsibilities while guiding engineers and shaping the product vision.

The role emphasizes hands-on coding, architecture leadership, and collaboration with PMs to deliver scalable Kubernetes-native AI cloud capabilities across data centers.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering or management experience.
• Excellent knowledge of Golang.
• Experience with team management and Kubernetes administration.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example: contribute code, lead projects, and participate in on-call rotation and post-incident analysis.
• Manage 4-8 mid-to-senior engineers, provide context, coaching and feedback.
• Maintain the technical vision for your area of responsibility and collaborate with Product Manager to shape product plans.
