Job summary

Nebius is seeking a senior/staff engineer to lead the mk8s Core team, owning the API, core service control plane, and cluster autoscaling. You will contribute as an IC initially, then take on managerial responsibilities while guiding 4–8 engineers.

Bring 8+ years of software engineering or management experience, expert Golang skills, and a track record of multi-month technical projects and tech leadership in Kubernetes-based environments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering or management experience.
• Excellent knowledge of Golang.
• Expertise with multi-month technical projects.
• Tech leading engineers and owning multi-month technical projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead 4–8 mid-to-senior engineers.
• Write and review code, lead projects, and participate in on-call rotation and post-incident analysis.
• Maintain the technical vision for your area of responsibility.
• Collaborate with Product Manager and Service Owner to shape product vision and plans.
