Job summary

Niah IT Recruitment is helping a fast-growing Amsterdam-based tech company hire a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer (AWS). You will own the cloud platform, drive reliability, performance and cost efficiency while shaping how the platform should run and scale.

With 7+ years in cloud engineering and deep AWS/Kubernetes expertise, you will partner with Engineering leadership to deliver a scalable, observable, and financially sustainable cloud stack for a data-heavy e-commerce environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Cloud/Platform engineering or related roles.
• Deep hands-on expertise with AWS and Kubernetes in production environments.
• Experience with high-load, data-intensive platforms and cost optimisation.

Responsibilities

• Own design, scaling and reliability of the AWS cloud platform.
• Drive performance, availability and cost efficiency across the stack.
• Analyse cloud consumption and translate into concrete technical decisions.
• Collaborate with engineering leadership and translate tech choices into business impact.
• Improve Kubernetes environments, observability, networking and latency.
