Job summary

SendCloud in Eindhoven seeks a Staff Platform Engineer to oversee technical direction in their Platform Engineering department. You will focus on AWS-native infrastructure, ensuring operational reliability and enhancing developer experience.

Ideal candidates have over 7 years in engineering, with strong AWS and Kubernetes skills, contributing to cross-team initiatives and departing from traditional management roles to focus on strategic technical contributions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on engineering experience, with at least 3 years operating at senior or staff level.
• Deep AWS expertise: EKS, VPC/networking, IAM, RDS/Aurora.
• Production-grade Kubernetes experience.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the technical strategy for cross-cutting platform capabilities.
• Lead architectural decisions across teams.
• Own technical delivery of post-mortems with root cause analysis.
