Xccelerated | Part of Xebia in The Hague (hybrid) is seeking a Senior AWS Infrastructure Engineer to drive a large-scale cloud foundation. You will help deliver secure, scalable infrastructure across 750+ AWS accounts while expanding cloud and automation expertise in an international environment.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of experience implementing AWS cloud solutions.
• Experience with Platform as a Service, Python scripting, and IaC with Terraform and CDK.
• Architectural and platform/solution design knowledge.
• Experience working with stakeholders at enterprise scale.
• Ownership mindset and ability to deliver end-to-end tasks.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a secure, scalable, and self-service AWS cloud foundation for application teams.
• Innovate while safeguarding platform stability and security.
• Track new AWS releases and implement relevant features to keep the platform future-proof.
• Continuously improve automation to reduce operational overhead.
• Participate in standby/OPS rotation roughly every 5-8 weeks.
• Apply strong software engineering practices (Python) alongside infrastructure work.

Would you like to drive the modernization of a large-scale, secure AWS cloud foundation platform?

We are looking for a Senior AWS Infrastructure Engineers, who wants to work on real client projects at scale, deepen their cloud and infrastructure expertise, and grow quickly in an international environment.

What you'll work on

As an AWS Infrastructure Engineer, you'll join a team responsible for delivering the cloud foundation; access management, accounts, security, networking, and more in a standardized and automated way, at large scale (750+ AWS accounts). You'll help modernize and improve this platform while maintaining its stability, as part of a broader hybrid cloud strategy that has been growing since 2015.

You will:

• Deliver a secure, scalable, and self-service AWS cloud foundation that gives application teams the freedom to build and manage their own solutions
• Innovate and improve the platform while safeguarding its stability and security
• Track new AWS releases and implement relevant features to keep the platform future-proof
• Continuously improve automation to reduce operational overhead for the team
• Participate in a standby/OPS rotation for the foundation (roughly every 5-8 weeks)
• Apply strong software engineering practices (Python) alongside infrastructure work

You are a Cloud Infra Engineer who enjoys building scalable, secure cloud platforms and has a strong foundation in both infrastructure and software engineering.

You bring:

• 4- 6 years of experience with implementing AWS cloud solutions
• experience with Platform as a Service, scripting with Python and Infrastructure as a Code with Terraform and CDK
• architectural and platform/ solution design knowledge
• experience working with stakeholders on enterprise scale
• take ownership and not afraid to take on a task from start to finish, delivering real results and sharing the knowledge gained in the process
• someone who can maintain an overview and keep the team focused
