Job summary

Valcon is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to design and build scalable analytics solutions for client engagements. You will translate business needs into data products, models, and pipelines, and lead projects from concept to production.

You will work with SQL, Python, dbt, and modern platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery) while applying dimensional modeling and CI/CD practices. Collaboration in agile teams and mentoring peers are encouraged.

Qualifications

Completed technical bachelor’s or master’s degree.
3+ years of experience in analytics engineering or data warehousing.
Experience with SQL, Python, and dbt.
Experience delivering analytics solutions from development to production.
Familiar with Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, or Microsoft Fabric.
Knowledge of dimensional modeling, data products, dbt, and performance tuning.
Interest in exploring new technologies in analytics space.
Experience working in enterprise environments and agile teams.
Excellent Dutch and English communication; Netherlands work permit.

Responsibilities

Design and build analytics data models, pipelines, and CI/CD frameworks for scalable analytics solutions.
Supervise projects from start to finish, translating business needs into analytics deliverables.
Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to a learning culture.
