Job summary

Altura, an ambitious SaaS startup, is building the first agentic AI Virtual Bid Manager to automate the entire bid lifecycle. You’ll join a high-caliber team designing production-grade workflows atop our proprietary data graph.

You’ll work in a small, fast-moving team with freedom to experiment using Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot and upcoming models, delivering end-to-end AI capabilities with strong impact across customers.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in AI/ML software engineering with production launches.
• Strong fundamentals in system design, testing, and reliability.
• Proven experience with LLM patterns and context engineering.
• Experience building evaluation and monitoring for production systems.
• Comfort with Azure, containers, CI/CD, and modern observability.
• Excellent cross-functional communication and collaboration.
• Nice to have experience optimizing inference or serving open-source models.
• Experience building internal AI platforms (evaluation harnesses).

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver an agentic layer and a context graph powering automation.
• Develop production LLM/GenAI systems with evaluation and multi-model strategies.
• Define and implement offline and online evaluation metrics and A/B experiments.
• Operationalize LLMOps: deployment, observability, and cost optimization.
• Build guardrails for data security and safe tool usage.
• Establish engineering standards and reusable libraries.
• Mentor engineers and align teams on outcomes and timelines.
