Job summary

Dwelly is hiring an Applied AI Engineer to build reusable agentic infrastructure that powers automation across our residential lettings platform. You will design memory, context management, tool-calling, orchestration, and feedback loops, moving from one-off AI solutions to scalable, reliable production systems.

You will work across architecture, evaluation, and deployment to ensure robust, observable AI workflows, collaborating with operational and product teams to automate workflows for

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering complex systems to production.
• Experience building AI or agentic systems in production.
• Ability to manage reliability, latency, context, evaluation, and observability.
• Strong knowledge of agents, tools, context management, orchestration, evaluation, and feedback loops.
• Advanced practical use of modern LLMs—building reliable workflows around probabilistic systems.
• Experience using coding agents and agentic development workflows.
• Experience decomposing complex engineering tasks across agents and subagents with verification mechanisms.
• Strong architectural judgment on when to use LLMs, deterministic software, human input, or a mix.
• Experience with TypeScript/Node.js or Python in a TypeScript-first environment.
• High autonomy, ownership, and comfort with ambiguity.
• Strong product judgment linking architecture to business outcomes.
• Fluency in English.
• Startup mindset.

Responsibilities

• Design and build the core primitives behind our agentic systems, including memory, context management, tool-calling, orchestration, and feedback loops.
• Move us from one-off AI solutions toward reusable infrastructure where new workflows can be introduced quickly and with predictable reliability.
• Build the evaluation framework to understand agent performance and reasons for success or failure.
• Make testing, tracing, debugging, and evaluation of AI systems fundamental to our engineering process.
• Create production-ready agentic workflows and reliable deployment procedures.
• Contribute to architectural patterns for scalable agentic systems.
