Job summary

Altura, an ambitious SaaS startup, is building the first agentic AI Virtual Bid Manager. As a Senior AI Engineer, you’ll join a fast-moving team, designing production-grade AI workflows on top of our data graph, enabling automated bid lifecycles.

You’ll work with Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot and other models, shipping context engineering, evaluation frameworks, and observability. This role offers ownership, strong impact, and a hybrid Amsterdam-based setup.

Qualifications

• > Extensive experience in AI/ML software engineering with multiple production launches.
• - Strong software engineering fundamentals: system design, testing, reliability, APIs.
• - Proven experience with LLM patterns: context engineering, embeddings, prompt design.
• - Hands-on experience with evaluation and monitoring for production models.
• - Comfort operating in Azure, containers, CI/CD, and observability.
• - Excellent cross-functional communication to translate ambiguity into plans and shipped outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Design and Deliver an agentic layer and a rich context graph enabling automation across customer knowledge repositories.
• Drive architecture & delivery of production LLM/GenAI systems (context engineering, agentic workflows, model evaluations).
• Define and implement evaluation: offline + online metrics, gold sets, regression tests, human review loops, A/B experiments.
• Operationalize LLMOps: deployment patterns, observability, monitoring, incident response, cost optimization.
• Build guardrails & security: prompt-injection defenses, data-exfiltration prevention, permissions for tools/actions.
• Establish engineering standards: reusable libraries, reference implementations, documentation.
• Mentor and influence: coach engineers, raise bar on design and code quality.
