Job summary

Vinted is seeking a Lead Decision Scientist in Amsterdam to own the Ads measurement framework, define metrics, and articulate decision tradeoffs across product, pricing, and placement. You’ll partner with Data Science, Analytics Eng, and Product to scale measurement across the marketplace.

You will turn ambiguous questions into rigorous, testable methodologies, oversee an advertiser and marketplace metric tree, and ensure consistency and fairness in evaluation while driving impact on revenue and

Qualifications

• Advertising knowledge relevant to ads measurement and marketplace dynamics.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to reason about causal effects.
• Ability to operate in high-ambiguity environments and structure complex problems.
• Experience turning signals into actionable product metrics and insights.

Responsibilities

• Own the Ads decision measurement framework, including metrics, methodologies and tradeoffs.
• Develop tradeoff frameworks and guardrails balancing revenue and marketplace health.
• Define measurement and evaluation methodologies beyond standard A/B tests.
• Govern the Ads metric tree ensuring consistency and usefulness across teams.
• Measure marketplace impact and assess effects on buyer/seller experience and retention.
• Partner with Analytics Engineering to define scalable data models for decision making.
• Align cross-functional strategies by turning questions into quantitative inputs.
