Job summary

Booking.com in Amsterdam seeks a Solution Engineer I to be the primary technical counterpart for internal Security teams. You will deliver technical solutions, accelerate platform adoption, and help extend capabilities to meet high-impact use cases.

You will demonstrate the platform, understand user needs, and collaborate with product management to shape roadmaps. Strong communication and a proactive, team-oriented mindset are essential for success.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field experience required.
• 1 to 3 years experience with solution design; security experience is a plus.
• 1 to 3 years in customer-facing roles with cross-functional collaboration.
• 1 to 3 years scripting experience; Python knowledge is advantageous.
• Experience building business cases using qualitative and quantitative data.
• Strong written and verbal communication; documentation experience is desirable.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Self-starter with proactive attitude; team-oriented.
• Experience in incident response or automation is a plus.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Hold platform demonstrations and translate requirements into business outcomes.
• Understand users' technical systems to accelerate platform adoption.
• Consult on and deliver custom technical solutions using platform components.
• Engage with stakeholders to support onboarding and usage; diagnose issues.
• Contribute to SPS product solutions and roadmaps with product management.
• Define user needs, architect solutions with users and development team, lead realization.
• Contribute to product documentation describing offerings and usage.
• Foster a community of platform users for broad awareness and reach.
