Job summary

Booking.com is seeking a Solutions Engineer - I in Amsterdam to be the primary technical counterpart for internal Security teams, empowering them to achieve their goals by delivering technical solutions using our platform components.

You will demonstrate platforms, translate requirements into outcomes, and work with product management to shape a platform roadmap. A BA/BS and 1–3 years in design or customer-facing roles, plus Python scripting, are expected.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field required.
• 1–3 years experience in solution design.
• 1–3 years experience in internal customer facing roles with cross-organization collaboration.
• 1–3 years scripting experience; Python knowledge a plus.
• Experience building business cases for technical solutions using qualitative & quantitative data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to publish technical docs.

Responsibilities

• Hold platform demonstrations/presentations and translate requirements into business outcomes.
• Build understanding of users' technical systems to accelerate platform adoption.
• Consult on and deliver custom technical solutions leveraging platform components.
• Engage with stakeholders to support onboarding and usage of the platform.
• Contribute to SPS product solutions and platform roadmap with product management.
• Define user needs, architect solutions with users and developers, and lead realization.
• Contribute to product usage documentation.
• Foster a community of platform users to raise awareness and reach.
