Job summary

Koninklijke Vopak N.V. is seeking an experienced SOC Manager to lead global security operations and deliver a proactive 24/7 response capability. You will oversee cyber intelligence, monitoring, incident response, and reporting to Senior Management.

The role requires ITIL experience, SIEM and security device management, with a focus on high-pressure decision making and team leadership. Hybrid work arrangements are available based on role.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor degree required or equivalent.
• Experience with IT Service Management (ITIL).
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a Security Operations team.
• Proficient in Security Incident Management and Response.
• Experience in security device/tool management and SIEM.
• Proficient in preparation of reports, dashboards and documentation.
• Ability to handle high pressure situations with key stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and control global security operations for 24/7 response capability.
• Lead cyber intelligence, monitoring and threat response across departments and terminals.
• Direct daily management, administration and maintenance of security devices to ensure operational effectiveness.
• Develop threat models and use cases for security monitoring and threat vectors.
• Create reports and dashboards for SOC operations and present to Senior Management.
• Coordinate security incidents with the CISO and provide timely, coherent responses.

As Security Operations Center (SOC) Manager, you will play a key role in realizing our ambitions while building both the future of Vopak and your own.

Your Mission

As SOC Manager reporting directly to the CISO, you are responsible for planning, directing, and controlling our global security operations with the objective of delivering a 24/7 response capability. You will lead cyber intelligence, monitoring, and threat response across all departments and terminals to keep Vopak's vital operations safe, clean, and resilient.

What will you be doing?

• Manage and coordinate IT security operations ensuring that IT security procedures and policies are followed by all departments and all terminals
• Primarily responsible for directing security event monitoring and response and cyber intelligence
• Ensuring daily management, administration & maintenance of security devices to achieve operational effectiveness
• Ensuring threat management, threat modeling, identify threat vectors and develop use cases for security monitoring
• Creation of reports, dashboards, metrics for SOC operations and presentation to Senior Management
• Contribute to the CISO coordination of security incidents emergency / crisis management by providing a timely and coherent response to incidents as they arise

Requirements

Minimal Bachelor degree required or equivalent;

Experience with IT Service Management (ITIL);

Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a Security Operations team;

Proficient in Security Incident Management and Response;

Experience in security device/tool management and SIEM;

Proficient in preparation of reports, dashboards and documentation;

Ability to handle high pressure situations with key stakeholders;

Good analytical, problem solving and Interpersonal skills.

Preferred qualifications (not required)

• CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
• CISM (Certified Information Security Manager)
• CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker)
