Job summary

Catawiki is seeking a Security Tech Lead Manager to lead a small security engineering team within Platform Engineering. You will own the security roadmap, drive delivery, and protect the marketplace and customer data while staying hands-on across applications, cloud infrastructure, and secure software delivery.

The role focuses on Google Cloud, Kubernetes, and secure software practices, with collaboration across Product and Platform teams.

Qualifications

• Hands-on security engineering experience in production environments.
• Experience managing engineers including performance reviews and career development.
• Owned a security roadmap or programme and coordinated delivery across teams.
• Strong knowledge of application and cloud security, IAM, secrets management, and secure software development.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop the security team through regular one-to-ones, feedback, and career development.
• Own the security engineering roadmap; prioritise work based on risk and business needs.
• Stay hands-on by building security controls, reviewing code and guiding security decisions.
• Partner with Product and Platform Engineering early in design for secure approaches.
• Improve vulnerability management and remediation prioritisation across systems.
• Enhance CI/CD and IaC security checks; reduce false positives and improve responses.
• Coordinate security contributions to incident response and investigations.
• Collaborate with Legal, IT and Trust & Safety on controls, policies and audit evidence.
• Measure progress and communicate risks and trade-offs to stakeholders.
