Job summary

Catawiki is seeking a Security Tech Lead Manager in Amsterdam to lead a 2–3 person security team within Platform Engineering. You will own the security engineering roadmap, deliver secure software and cloud security controls, and guide teams through risk-based decisions.

You’ll work with Product and Platform Engineering on threat modelling, secure code reviews, and incident response, while shaping security priorities for our growing marketplace.

Qualifications

• Hands-on security engineering experience in software or cloud environments.
• Experience supervising engineers, including performance reviews and career development.
• Owned security roadmap or programme and coordinated implementation across teams.
• Strong knowledge of application and cloud security (IAM, secrets, secure SDLC).

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop the security team with regular feedback and career development.
• Own the security engineering roadmap and prioritise work by risk and business needs.
• Stay hands-on by building security controls and reviewing code across apps and cloud infra.
• Lead threat modelling and security reviews with product and platform teams.
• Improve vulnerability management, remediation priorities and tracking.
• Enhance CI/CD security and infrastructure as code practices.
• Coordinate incident response contributions and drive improvements from incidents.
• Collaborate with Legal, IT and Trust & Safety on security controls and audit evidence.
• Measure progress and communicate risk and delivery status to stakeholders.
