Job summary

Catawiki is seeking a Security Tech Lead Manager to lead a 2–3 person security engineering team within Platform Engineering. You will own the security roadmap, deliver secure software across applications and cloud infrastructure, and guide teams through threat modelling and security reviews.

You will work hands-on to implement security controls, contribute to incident response, and collaborate with Product, Platform Engineering, Legal, and IT to align security priorities with business goals.

Qualifications

• Substantial hands-on security engineering experience in production
• Experience managing engineers with performance reviews and career development
• Owned a security roadmap or programme across engineering teams
• Strong knowledge of application and cloud security including IAM and secrets management
• Experience in threat modelling, secure code/design reviews and incident response
• Able to develop or automate in Ruby, Python or Go and review backend code
• Excellent ability to communicate risk to engineers and stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop the security team with regular feedback and career development
• Own the security engineering roadmap and enable delivery
• Stay hands-on by building security controls and reviewing code
• Partner with product and platform engineering to design secure systems
• Improve vulnerability management and remediation prioritisation
• Enhance CI/CD and IaC security controls and reduce false positives
• Coordinate security team contributions to incident response and investigations
• Work with Legal, IT and Trust & Safety on controls and audits
• Measure remediation progress and communicate risks and trade-offs
