Job summary

Workatbackbase is seeking a Services Security Director to lead the security program for the Services department. You will drive a global security strategy, oversee policy implementation across hubs, and partner with engineering and operations to embed security into the development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience in information security.
• 5+ years in a global leadership role.
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field. Certifications (CSSLP, CISM) are a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Strategic security leadership: develop and implement a comprehensive security strategy.
• Global security oversight: ensure policy and procedure consistency across hubs.
• Risk management: identify, assess and mitigate security risks and vulnerabilities.
• Customer security advocate: explain policies to customers and stakeholders.
• Compliance and governance: align with regulations and contractual obligations.
• Security reporting: present security updates to senior management and stakeholders.
• Security practice development: establish SOPs within the Services Security Chapter.
• Incident response management: plan and review security incidents.
• Stakeholder collaboration: liaise with the CISO and cross-functional teams.
• Capacity and planning: ensure resources and capabilities for security initiatives.
• Knowledge advancement: plan travel and training for the security team.
