Scientist/Senior Scientist – (LC)-ICP-MS Bioanalysis

Location: Groningen, the Netherlands | Onsite

QPS Netherlands is growing its (LC)-ICP-MS capabilities, and we are looking for a Scientist or Senior Scientist to join our Bioanalysis team in Groningen.

Our Groningen facility is QPS’s center of excellence for ICP-MS technology and the only QPS site using this specialized platform. With 2 new instruments arriving soon, this is an exciting opportunity to help expand our capabilities while contributing to the development of new medicines.

What you’ll do

• Develop and validate (LC)-ICP-MS methods for detecting elements associated with complexes, small molecules and large molecules
• Provide hands‑on scientific support for bioanalytical studies
• Manage multiple projects, including study execution, budgets, timelines and regulatory compliance
• Serve as the primary scientific contact for clients
• Analyze, interpret and communicate study results
• Oversee studies conducted according to GLP/GCP requirements and our quality system
• Stay current with scientific and technical developments in the field
• Work closely with fellow scientists, technicians and the team lead

What you’ll bring

• A PhD in bioanalysis, chemistry, environmental chemistry or a related field
• At least 3 years of relevant experience using ICP-MS
• Hands‑on experience executing, developing and validating ICP-MS assays, preferably in a GLP environment
• Experience managing multiple scientific projects
• Familiarity with GLP and/or GMP requirements
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills
• Business‑level written and spoken English
• Residence in, or willingness to relocate to, the Netherlands and work onsite in Groningen
