The Senior Analyst Analytical Services (AS) is responsible for conducting physical and chemical analyses and handling both routine and non-routine analytical requests. The position also includes the review and approval of analytical results.
The role requires a high level of autonomy, with responsibility for independently planning and prioritizing activities while coordinating workload and priorities with colleagues within the team. In addition, the Senior Analyst must be capable of developing and executing new and non-standard analytical approaches using a wide variety of analytical techniques.
Perform complex routine and non-routine analytical testing;
Conduct analyses of APIs (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients), raw materials, reference standards, cleaning validation samples, water samples, packaging materials, and other non-standard requests, such as complaint investigations;
Review and approve analytical results;
Prepare and review protocols and reports;
Identify, document, and initiate investigations of deviations;
Update and maintain GMP documentation;
Support release and stability testing activities as required;
Contribute to the continuous improvement of Quality Control processes and procedures;
Train laboratory personnel on Quality Control procedures and protocols;
Respond to questions and provide support during internal and external audits;
Comply with GxP requirements and regulations related to safety, hygiene, and environmental standards;
Continuously identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce waste within laboratory processes and procedures.
Bachelor's degree (HBO) in Analytical Chemistry or a related field;
Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
Able to work independently; decisive, critical, and detail-oriented;
Excellent command of both Dutch and English, written and spoken;
Strong training and instructional skills;
Capable of managing continuously changing priorities;
Hands-on mentality and flexible approach;
Results-driven, accurate, quality-focused, and service-oriented;
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience within the applicable field;
Extensive theoretical and practical knowledge of performing non-routine and newly developed analyses across a broad range of analytical techniques.
