Job summary

Refresco in Rotterdam is seeking an SAP Change & Release Specialist to coordinate deployments across the SAP landscape, ensuring controlled movement of transports from development to production in line with change governance.

You will work with SAP consultants, developers, project teams, and business stakeholders, monitor deployments, and drive improvements to change and release processes as Refresco progresses its S/4HANA transformation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-degree or equivalent professional experience in IT.
• 4+ years of experience in an SAP environment.
• Experience with SAP change management, SAP Solution Manager, transport management or release management.
• Good understanding of SAP transports and the software development lifecycle.
• Familiarity with ITIL principles is an advantage.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Fluency in English (spoken and written).

As an SAP Change & Release Specialist, you will be responsible for deploying SAP transport requests across Refresco's SAP landscape, ensuring the controlled and reliable movement of changes from development to quality and production in accordance with the established change management process and governance standards.

In this role, you will coordinate with a wide range of stakeholders, including business, project teams, AMS teams, developers, functional consultants, to plan and execute SAP releases efficiently. You will ensure that all transports are deployed accurately, risks are minimized, and system stability is maintained while supporting business delivery. Additionally, you will drive continuous improvements to the Change Management and Release Management processes to enhance governance, efficiency, and overall service quality.

As Refresco continues its S/4HANA transformation, you will contribute to international projects, support business-critical releases and further develop your expertise in a complex SAP landscape.

This is a role for someone who enjoys bringing structure to dynamic environments, collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders, and ensuring changes are implemented smoothly and successfully.

What You Will Be Doing

• Support project implementations and go-lives by ensuring all SAP changes are deployed successfully.
• Help maintain and improve change management processes using SAP Solution Manager and ITSM tools.
• Communicate release planning, progress, and risks with both technical and business stakeholders.
• Train and support various stakeholders with Change Management Process.
• Identify opportunities to improve change and release processes, helping increase efficiency and reliability across the SAP landscape.

What You Will Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 4+ years of experience working within an SAP environment.
• Experience with SAP change management, SAP Solution Manager, transport management, or release management processes.
• Good understanding of SAP transports and the software development lifecycle.
• Familiarity with ITIL principles is an advantage.
• Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.
• A proactive, structured, and solution-oriented mindset.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
