Job summary

The Dylan Amsterdam invites applications for a Sales & Marketing Trainee position in Amsterdam. You will be the first point of contact by phone for guests, journalists and business relations, supporting the Sales & Marketing team with a range of projects and administrative tasks.

You will prepare presentations, press kits, update content on websites, contribute to social media and participate in site inspections, while gaining experience across Reservations, Revenue, Groups & Events, and Sales &

• HBO level of education, preferably studying at a hotel school or hospitality-related programme.
• Strong organisational and planning skills are required.
• Guest-oriented and sociable with excellent communication in Dutch and English.
• Attention to detail and creative, quality-driven mindset.

Responsibilities

Set in a historic environment, The Dylan features 41 unique hotel rooms, 4 event spaces and two restaurants: Bar Brasserie OCCO and the two-Michelin-starred Restaurant Vinkeles. The Dylan Amsterdam is looking for a motivated Sales & Marketing Trainee starting 1 September 2027. As a Sales & Marketing Trainee, you will be the first point of contact by phone for our guests, journalists and business relations. You will also support the Sales & Marketing department with administrative tasks and various projects. Your responsibilities will include selling and issuing gift cards and managing the related administration. You will prepare presentations and press kits for international sales trips and update text and visual content across various websites. You will also contribute content to our social media channels. In addition, you will conduct site inspections and tours for journalists, guests and business relations. During your internship, you will gain experience in and support the daily activities of three departments: Reservations & Revenue, Groups & Events, and Sales & Marketing. This may include setting up and coordinating projects, handling telephone reservations and supporting the hotel operation during larger events. Are you the person we are looking for?

• HBO level of education, preferably studying at a hotel school or hospitality-related programme.
• You are looking for a 10-month internship.
• Previous experience in a restaurant and/or hotel is preferred.
• You have strong organisational and planning skills.
• You are guest-oriented and sociable.
• You work accurately and pay attention to detail.
• You are creative and quality-driven.
• You have excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English.
