Job summary

Axces Steam & Flow Control (ASFC) within Axces Group designs and supplies vent silencers, diffusers, in-line dampeners and pulsation dampeners for EPC projects. The role sits at the intersection of engineering and commerce, translating enquiries into technically grounded quotations.

You will perform strength and acoustic calculations, create customer drawings, and work closely with the Sales Manager to develop offers. Hybrid work from Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht is offered.

Qualifications

• MBO+ in mechanical engineering or similar; practical experience counts.
• Analytical and precise; strength calculations and PED classification require accuracy.
• Digitally minded with affinity for modern engineering tools (Inventor, SolidWorks).
• Commercial sense and comfortable in customer contact.

Responsibilities

Job description

As Sales Engineer at Axces Steam & Flow Control (ASFC) you sit where engineering meets commerce. ASFC, one of Axces Group’s four divisions, designs and supplies vent silencers, diffusers, in-line dampeners and pulsation dampeners for EPC parties and industrial process installations. Every project is custom-engineered, never a catalogue product, so each enquiry needs its own calculation and solution. You run the technical substantiation: strength calculations on pressure vessels and their PED class, acoustic calculations for our dampeners, and strength and nozzle-load calculations on supports. Those calculations you translate into customer drawings and into sharp, well-founded quotations, working closely with our Sales Manager. You are not on your own. You get focused support and training from our Senior Engineer on the technical side, and work day to day with the Sales Manager on the commercial side, reporting to both. The fine detailing stays elsewhere in the team; this role is about the technical case behind an enquiry and its translation to the customer. You are based in Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht, with hybrid working.

What you’ll do

• Work with our Sales Manager to develop incoming enquiries into technically substantiated quotations.
• Perform strength calculations on pressure vessels and determine the correct PED pressure class.
• Produce acoustic calculations for vent silencers, diffusers, in-line and pulsation dampeners.
• Carry out strength calculations on supports and nozzle-load calculations.
• Set up customer drawings for offers and customer approval.
• Build your expertise under the guidance of our Senior Engineer.

What you bring

• MBO+ in mechanical engineering or similar, with demonstrable work experience. What you have already built and calculated counts for more than the diploma.
• Analytical and precise: strength calculations and PED classification leave no room for sloppiness.
• Digitally minded, with an affinity for modern engineering tools (Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks).
• Commercial sense and at ease in customer contact. You work closely with sales.
• Experience with pressure vessels (PED), acoustics or comparable technical calculations is a plus, not a requirement. The field can be learned; the way of thinking cannot.
• Independent and proactive: you spot for yourself what an enquiry needs, rather than waiting to be told.
