Job summary

Blue Tomato GmbH in Amsterdam is seeking a friendly, customer-focused team member to be the first point of contact in the shop. You’ll help customers feel welcome and well-advised, whether they’re after the latest deck, the perfect snowboard binding, or a fresh streetwear look.

You bring an interest in board sports and streetwear culture, great communication, and a team spirit. This role supports visual merchandising, stock, and cashier duties, with training and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Initial experience or apprenticeship in retail is a plus but not required; eagerness to learn matters most.
• Identifies with board sports and streetwear culture and the related community.
• Communicative, curious, and actively engages with customers to deliver excellent service.
• Values teamwork, respect, and a positive atmosphere.
• Seeking a long-term collaboration with initiative and personal growth.

Responsibilities

• You are the first point of contact in the shop and ensure customers feel welcome and well-advised.
• You quickly understand customer needs for boards, bindings, or streetwear with a friendly approach.
• You bring trends and scene knowledge into customer interactions authentically.
• You support the team in visual merchandising, stock management, and cashier operations.
• You develop skills through trainings and product workshops with team support.
