Job summary

Odin-RVB Europe in Rotterdam is seeking a Ship Operator to manage day-to-day vessel operations and voyage coordination. You will work closely with ship owners, charterers, agents and other stakeholders to ensure smooth execution in a fast-paced international shipping environment.

The role requires a minimum of 2 years in ship operations, a Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies or related field, and fluency in Dutch and English.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in ship operations.
• Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Shipping, Logistics or a related field.
• Fluency in Dutch and English, written and spoken.
• Strong organizational and communication skills for coordinating with owners, charterers, agents.
• Experience in tanker, chemical or bulk liquid shipping is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor day-to-day execution of voyages.
• Maintain regular communication with ship owners, charterers, vessels, agents and other parties.
• Monitor vessel schedules, port calls, cargo operations and voyage progress.
• Coordinate voyage instructions and ensure operational requirements are communicated on time.
• Follow up on documentation and other operational matters related to ongoing voyages.
• Identify and resolve operational issues in cooperation with involved parties.
• Keep internal systems and stakeholders updated on vessel and voyage status.
• Support the chartering team with operational information.
• Ensure operations comply with contracts, procedures and regulations.
