Job summary
The next Globetrotter is seeking a Software Engineer Robotics & PLC to contribute to advanced automation and robotic systems in the Netherlands. You will develop PLC software and robot control, test on live machinery and optimise movements across multiple platforms.
You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, support FAT and commissioning, and participate in a dynamic environment with relocation and visa support options from the employer.
Qualifications
- PLC and/or industrial robot programming experience required.
- Interest in industrial automation, robotics and machine building.
- Willing to travel to customer locations for commissioning.
- Experience with FANUC, ABB or Yaskawa platforms is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Develop and program software for PLC-controlled machinery and robotic systems.
- Program, configure and optimize industrial robots.
- Develop and test PLC software for new automation projects.
- Use simulation software during development and testing.
- Test software on newly built machinery and robot lines.
- Troubleshoot software and control-related issues during testing.
- Optimize robot movements and automated processes.
- Commission new installations and robot systems at customer sites.
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical and software teams.
