Job summary

Royal Houdijk in Vlaardingen, the Netherlands, seeks a Commissioning Engineer to join our assembly and test hall. You will test machines through software, electrical and mechanical adjustments, and ensure operation per contract specs, with roughly half the year spent abroad.

You will travel to customer sites for FAT, installation, commissioning and handover, managing three to four projects annually. A technical MBO/HBO diploma, willingness to travel, and Dutch/English communication are required.

Qualifications

MBO level 4 or HBO diploma in a technical field.
Experience in mechanical and electrical machine construction.
Experience with dynamic drive systems and modern PLC control technologies.
Knowledge of Rockwell and Beckhoff is a plus.
Good communication skills in Dutch and English.

Responsibilities

Test machines through software, electrical and mechanical adjustments.
Commission installations at customer sites and hand over to customers.
Travel abroad regularly to install and service installations (2–4 weeks).
Collaborate with assembly and commissioning teams and sales to identify opportunities.
Ensure contractual compliance and safety on site.
