Job summary

Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield in the Netherlands is looking for a Retail Project Manager to join the PMPS team, guiding retailers from lease signature to store opening across iconic destinations such as Westfield Mall of the Netherlands and Stadshart Amstelveen.

You'll work closely with Leasing, Investment Management, Technical Management and Construction, while partnering with leading brands to ensure openings run smoothly, safely and to URW standards. Fluency in Dutch and English is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Real Estate or related discipline.
• Fluency in Dutch and English.
• Experience managing retail, commercial or construction projects.
• Strong stakeholder coordination and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of retail projects from lease signature through to store opening.
• Act as the primary contact for tenants, contractors and consultants throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage project programmes, milestones and key deliverables to ensure successful execution.
• Coordinate the review and approval of tenant design and technical submissions.
• Align stakeholders from Leasing, Investment Management, Technical Management and PMPS to drive projects forward.
• Identify risks, solve problems proactively and keep projects on track.

We're looking for a Retail Project Manager to join our PMPS (Projects, Maintenance, Purchasing & Sustainability) team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in bringing retail concepts to life across iconic destinations such as Westfield Mall of the Netherlands and Stadshart Amstelveen.

You'll work closely with colleagues across Leasing, Investment Management, Technical Management and Construction, while partnering directly with leading retail brands to ensure their stores open successfully and deliver the best possible customer experience.

Every new store opening contributes to the success and attractiveness of our destinations. As Retail Project Manager, you'll be responsible for guiding retailers through the journey from lease signature to store opening, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with URW standards.

You'll be joining a collaborative and ambitious team that plays a critical role in enhancing our assets, supporting commercial performance and delivering exceptional experiences for our visitors. Your work will directly influence how brands bring their concepts to life within some of the most recognised retail destinations in Europe.

What you'll be getting involved in

No two days will look exactly the same, but you'll spend your time:

• Leading the delivery of retail projects from lease signature through to store opening.
• Acting as the primary point of contact for tenants, contractors and consultants throughout the project lifecycle.
• Managing project programmes, milestones and key deliverables to ensure successful execution.
• Coordinating the review and approval of tenant design and technical submissions.
• Working closely with Leasing, Investment Management, Technical Management and PMPS colleagues to align stakeholders and drive projects forward.
• Identifying risks, solving problems proactively and ensuring projects remain on track.
• Supporting technical discussions during lease negotiations where required.
• Ensuring projects comply with design standards, health & safety requirements and sustainability objectives.
• Contributing to process improvements, governance and best practice across the portfolio.

It would be great if you also bring:

• A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, Real Estate or a related discipline.
• A strong understanding of building design and construction processes.
• Financial and analytical skills that support effective project decision-making.
• Experience working within retail, mixed-use, commercial real estate or construction environments.
• Fluency in both Dutch and English.

Please note: Fluency in Dutch is essential for this role, as you'll work closely with Dutch-speaking tenants, contractors, authorities and stakeholders on a daily basis.
