Job summary

Wakuli in Amsterdam, Noord-Holland, Netherlands is looking for a Retail Demand Planner to own demand planning across all retail and non-retail categories. You will balance waste against out-of-stocks and build scalable planning processes to handle menu changes and launches.

You will work in the S&OP team with other planners and system specialists, collaborating with operations and finance to translate forecasts into practical ordering decisions.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain.
• Experience in coffee chains, food & beverage retail or supermarkets is a strong plus.
• Solid knowledge of statistics and forecasting methods (time series, moving averages, regression).
• Hands-on experience with fresh/short-shelf-life products balancing waste and availability.
• Advanced Excel; BI tools (Power BI, Looker, Tableau) is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Own demand planning for the retail network across categories with focus on waste and OOS.
• Build and improve forecasts at store and SKU level.
• Integrate promotions, events, and launches into the forecast.
• Monitor forecast accuracy, waste, and OOS KPIs; analyze deviations.
• Plan for seasonality, weather, local events, and store patterns; lead launches.
• Set forecasts for new stores/products with limited data.
• Scale planning tools and processes for growth.
• Identify automation opportunities and implement AI/ML tools in planning.
• Document processes to keep planning consistent.
• Collaborate with planning, store teams, and warehouse to translate forecasts into orders.
