Job summary

Mövenpick Hotel Amsterdam City Centre is seeking a Trainee for their food and beverage services, where you'll be responsible for providing excellent service at the restaurant, lobby & lounge bar, and in-room dining. This role involves greeting guests and taking their orders while being part of an international team.

Job description

You will satisfy guests in our hotel with our food and beverage services. As a trainee you are responsible for food service at the restaurant, lobby & lounge bar, and in‑room dining, working with an international team.

With your colleagues you will ensure guests enjoy a pleasant stay in the restaurant, lounge bar or via room service. You are required to greet guests, take their order, provide service, and anticipate their needs, offering local products and assistance on the city.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming guests and making them feel at home at our food & beverage outlets.
• Giving correct information about drinks and dishes and serving them appropriately.
• Preparing drinks and taking orders, engaging guests in conversation about their visit to Amsterdam.
• Preparing the restaurant for evening service and tidying up after breakfast.
• Refilling bar drinks and ensuring all supplies are available.

Your working hours depend on the area: restaurant and room service 7‑15 and 15‑23; bar 9‑15, 15‑23 and 16‑0. You must be flexible for different shifts.
