Job summary

Ozark Center is seeking a Residential Psych Tech (RPT) to join our cottage-based treatment team. The role focuses on day-to-day care and supervision of children/residents and support for the individualized treatment plans.

RPTs work in a trauma-informed, empathetic environment aligned with dual recovery principles. Responsibilities include charting observations, assisting with routines, coordinating with staff, and contributing to team meetings and treatment progress.

Qualifications

• A high school degree or equivalent is required.
• Experience in group care or a professional setting with youth and children.

Responsibilities

• Charts all pertinent observation on a continuing basis regarding residents.
• Subject to mandatory overtime and shift changes.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
• Supervises and assists residents in wake-up, meals, recreation, counseling, education/vocation needs, daily routine and hygiene, house rules and sleep.
• Works as a team member with other staff to implement program plans.
• Provides direct behavior observations and reinforcement of appropriate behaviors as prescribed by the cottage based treatment team.
• Participates in Team Meetings, shift information exchanges, daily cottage briefings and has input in the evaluation and treatment plan progress of each resident.
