Job summary

Ozark Center in Beverwijk, Netherlands, is seeking a Residential Psych Tech (RPT) to provide day-to-day care and supervision of children/residents and to support the implementation of individualized treatment plans.

You will work as part of a cottage-based treatment team, applying trauma-informed care principles in a warm, empathic environment and assisting residents with wake-up, meals, recreation, education/vocation needs, and daily routines. Overtime and shift changes may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in group care or a professional setting with youth and children.
• Strong interpersonal and observation skills.
• Ability to work as part of a treatment team.

Responsibilities

• Charts all pertinent observations on a continuing basis regarding residents.
• Subject to mandatory overtime and shift changes.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
• Supervises and assists residents in wake-up, meals, recreation, counseling, education/vocation needs, daily routine and hygiene.
• Works as a team member with other staff to implement program plans.
• Provides direct behavior observations and reinforcement of appropriate behaviors as prescribed by the cottage based treatment team.
• Participates in Team Meetings, shift information exchanges, daily cottage briefings and has input in the evaluation and treatment plan progress of each resident.
