Job summary

A contract research company in Leiden is seeking a full-time Research Analyst experienced in immunological bioanalytical techniques. You will execute analytical procedures, maintain project data files, and perform data analysis. A university degree in life sciences and 2 years experience in a pharma or CRO environment are required. Fluency in English is essential, and proficiency in Dutch is a plus. Good Biomarker Sciences is a contract research company based in the Leiden Bio Science Park specialized in biomarker discovery and analysis, assay development and validation for pre‑clinical R&D projects and clinical studies in the field of haemostasis and immunobiology. We are currently looking for a full‑time Research Analyst experienced in immunological bioanalytical techniques. You will be expected to work effectively under general supervision and contribute to the team effort to support projects. The activities will be performed in a lab working according to GCLP principles, meaning that all activities must follow prescribed procedures, and must be accurately documented. You will report the data to your supervising scientist, discuss the outcome and plan for follow‑up actions. In a small team you will have a diverse set of tasks and personal input is highly valued.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Execution of analytical procedures of assigned project.
  • Maintain all files and records of project data in accordance with SOPs.
  • Data analysis and interpretation.
  • Troubleshooting of complex issues.
  • Identify analytical techniques and adapt them for use in our laboratory, as well as development and validation of new assays.
  • Perform additional tasks and participation in projects in addition to your regular duties in consultation with the project leader.
  • Training in specific assays, techniques and systems as part of our quality system requirements
Qualifications
  • University or HBO degree in life sciences or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in pharma and/or CRO environment. Experience with QMS and GCLP work environment is highly recommended.
  • Experience in ELISA, flow cytometry, and cell culture is a must.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Scientific understanding of the test methods being performed.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks to meet targeted deadlines.
  • High degree of accuracy and quality awareness are essential for this position.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (Dutch is a plus).
  • Computer literacy with proficiency in bioanalytical software platforms for data analysis.
