Job summary

Eurofins BioPharma Product Testing Leiden B.V. on the Bio Science Park in Leiden seeks a Molecular Biology Analyst to perform a range of test methods on biopharmaceutical products, document results, and ensure GMP-compliant practices.

You will collaborate across QA, Study Management and the team, support method transfer and validation, and contribute to continuous improvement while meeting tight deadlines. Fluent English and Dutch language skills are expected, and a valid Netherlands work permit

Qualifications

• MBO or HBO degree in Molecular Biology or related Life Sciences.
• Experience with ELISA, PCR, FACS, SDS-PAGE and Western Blotting.
• GMP/GLP knowledge desirable.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork.
• Proactive learner with flexibility to meet deadlines.
• Excellent command of English and reasonable Dutch.
• Eligible to work in the Netherlands.

Job description

As Molecular Biology Analyst, you will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of test methods on various biopharmaceutical products.

You work in close collaboration with your team of Molecular Analysts, and also other departments, such as Study Management and QA. The work is performed in accordance with strict quality standards and protocols, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Your key responsibilities include:

• Perform a variety of test methods, such as ELISA, PCR, FACS, SDS-PAGE and Western Blotting.
• Collect, document, and analyze test data, and prepare corresponding test reports.
• Follow-up on quality incidents;Maintain the laboratory and handle related operational tasks.
• Actively participate in internal meetings, training sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to method transfer and method validation activities, in collaboration with a Study Manager.
• Support the implementation of new equipment and test methods.

Qualifications and Skills

• MBO or HBO degree towards Molecular Biology, Life Science, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Virology, or a related field.
• Experience with techniques such as ELISA, PCR, FACS, SDS-PAGE, Western Blotting, pH, Osmolality, etc.
• Knowledge of GMP or GLP is desirable.
• Strong analytical skills and an eye for detail.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
• A proactive attitude towards learning and professional development.
• Flexibility and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
• Excellent command English.
• Reasonable command of the Dutch language.
• Located in the Netherlands with a valid work permit.
