Job summary

SPD Technology is seeking a SoC Physical Design Engineer to join the AI and Infrastructure team. The role focuses on designing chips and subsystems from synthesis to place-and-route, ensuring power, performance, and area goals are met in a fully remote setup.

You’ll collaborate across design, DFT, and packaging to push the boundaries of silicon performance. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in SoC cycles, experience with clock/voltage domain crossing, DFT, and low-power design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of SoC cycles experience; high-performance, high-frequency, and low-power designs.
• Experience with clock/voltage domain crossing and DFT.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Perl, Python, or Tcl.
• Master's degree or PhD in the related field is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Design chips, chip-subsystems, or partitions within subsystems from synthesis through place and route.
• Sign off convergence to meet power, performance, and area goals.
• Develop and improve EDA methodologies for cross-functional teams.
