Job summary

Axon is hiring a Senior Manager, International Indirect Tax in Amsterdam. You will lead the international VAT and indirect tax function, ensuring compliance, advising across Legal, Finance and Commercial, and guiding new entity set-ups in a complex, global supply chain.

You will supervise a small team, partner with Sales and Operations, and stay current on regulatory changes while driving process improvements with ERP tools like D365 and Alteryx.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of VAT or indirect tax experience in multinational or professional services.
• Detailed knowledge of VAT across multiple European jurisdictions including OSS/Intrastat.
• Experience reviewing compliance deliverables with accountability for quality and timeliness.
• Ability to advise on indirect tax treatment of contracts, pricing, and invoicing.
• Experience in new entity set-ups including VAT registration and process build-out.
• Familiarity with D365 or similar ERP; BlackLine, Sigma, Alteryx advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary non-US indirect tax advisor across Finance, Legal and Commercial.
• Oversee VAT returns, Intrastat, OSS, ESL across jurisdictions with deadlines.
• Lead new entity VAT registrations and templates; ensure SOX/compliance.
• Identify VAT filing improvements using AI, macros, and ERP changes.
• Support audits, regulatory changes, and data quality across submissions.
