Job summary

JobCubby partners with a distributed, global team to hire a Software Engineer focused on Python/Golang for Kubernetes-based products. You will develop operators providing lifecycle management for critical components and build open-source solutions with strong testing and quality standards.

Work is fully remote with international collaboration; travel 2–4 weeks per year is expected. A passion for Linux, cloud-native tech, and open-source software is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS or related field.
• Proficient in Python and/or Golang.
• Experience with Kubernetes is preferred.
• Strong communication in a distributed, international team.
• Willingness to travel 2–4 weeks per year.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-quality software features for Kubernetes-focused products and open-source solutions.
• Build and maintain Kubernetes operators that provide complete lifecycle management for mission-critical components.
• Develop and improve Kubernetes addons that enable seamless integration of projects and services with minimal operational overhead.
• Write clean, maintainable, reliable, and well-tested code using Python and/or Golang.
• Collaborate with engineers across a globally distributed team and participate in design decisions.
