Job summary

Jobgether is seeking an Accountant (m/f/d) to support German entities from a fully remote Europe-wide base. You will oversee day-to-day accounting, month-end close, VAT filings, and financial reporting in alignment with German HGB standards.

You’ll collaborate with external advisors and payroll providers, drive process improvements, and help maintain strong internal controls across multiple entities in a growing software group.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of accounting experience with German HGB and tax requirements.
• Experience in software/ SaaS industry preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accrual accounting and month-end / year-end closing processes.
• Familiarity with VAT requirements and payroll tax declarations.
• Proficient with Excel and ERP systems such as NetSuite.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting for German entities ensuring accurate records.
• Assist month-end and year-end closes with journal entries and analysis.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and support P&L reviews.
• Handle intercompany accounts and supplier payments following internal controls.
• Prepare VAT filings and support payroll tax declarations.
• Assist with annual financial statements under HGB and statutory audits.
• Improve accounting processes and internal controls.
