Job summary

Jobgether SRL is seeking an Accountant (m/f/d) based in the Netherlands to lead German entity accounting within an international software group. You will work remotely, manage month-end close, VAT filings, and financial reporting while supporting budgeting and process improvements.

Fluency in German and English is required, with at least 3 years in German accounting, and experience with NetSuite and Excel is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of professional accounting experience, handling German GAAP (HGB) and German tax requirements.
• Experience in software/ SaaS industry and multi-entity accounting is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of VAT filings and payroll tax declarations.
• Ability to work in a fully remote, international team.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting for German legal entities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Support month-end and year-end closing, including journal entries and analyses.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and review account balances.
• Coordinate VAT filings (UStVA) and payroll tax declarations with external advisors.
• Assist with annual financial statements under HGB and audits.
• Maintain internal controls and streamline accounting processes.
• Provide KPIs and management reports, and support budgeting variance analysis.
• Collaborate with finance team and external partners across remote locations.
