Job summary

Univar Solutions BV is seeking a Technical Sales Manager for Foodology (Food Ingredients) based in the Netherlands with a home-based setup covering the country. You will combine technical product knowledge with commercial acumen to grow sales and deliver tailored food ingredient solutions to customers, working with R&D and suppliers.

The role requires 3+ years in technical product and formulation, fluent in English and Dutch, and up to 50% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in a related food field preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience with technical product and formulation knowledge.
• Proven knowledge in the Food Ingredients industry; enzymes and starches advantageous.
• Experience servicing customers at multiple levels; supplier partners advantageous.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Meticulous with strong planning and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.
• Fluent in English and Dutch.

Responsibilities

• Develop effective customer relationships and seek new product opportunities.
• Prepare technical presentations and support R&D customers.
• Visit customers, build relationships and establish reliability.
• Follow the sales cycle (proposals, samples, visits).
• Develop new perspectives, monitor competition and tailor solutions.
• Represent suppliers and exchange market information with partners while ensuring compliance.
• Monitor technological innovations and regulatory updates in the market.
• Keep the CRM up to date and generate Target Business Opportunities.
• Participate in industry meetings, trade shows and calls.
• Support business plans, goals and forecasts.
• Assist with new product launches and supplier qualification.
