Job summary

Jobgether, on behalf of a partner, seeks a Sales and Category Director Food Ingredients Distribution in the Netherlands. Lead regional growth across six European markets in the B2B food ingredients distribution sector, guiding local teams and aligning regional strategies with global objectives.

You will work with Country Managers, headquarters, and commercial partners to strengthen performance, improve operational efficiency, and identify opportunities for sustainable growth.

Qualifications

• Degree in Food Technology is essential; MBA or business education is an advantage.
• Proven leadership in food ingredients distribution or related B2B environment.
• Experience leading country teams and multi-country projects.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen with KPI focus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee country-level and sales team plans aligned with global targets.
• Lead development across six European markets and supervise Country Managers.
• Translate global priorities into actionable regional initiatives for local markets.
• Contribute to global policies, structures, and commercial tools implementation.
• Monitor costs, resources, and performance to drive efficiency and growth.
• Track sales results and take corrective actions to meet targets.
• Foster cross-country collaboration and share best practices.
• Provide selective hands-on support to local teams as needed.
• Build relationships with producers, distributors, and HQ to support regional growth.
