Job summary

Miele Netherlands is seeking an Accounting Officer to bridge financial processes, people and the resulting administration. You will work with controllers, our shared service centre and external partners to ensure accurate accounting.

You will lead month-end and year-end activities, ensure proper bookings and VAT compliance, and support FP&A with reporting. A bachelor’s degree and 8+ years in a similar role are required; SAP and Excel skills are preferred; Dutch and English must be fluent.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or business administration.
• +8 years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong accounting foundation with closing periods, balance sheet ownership, and statutory/tax reporting.
• Experience in a multinational, multi-location matrix environment.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end and year-end closing activities for the Netherlands entity in collaboration with global shared services teams.
• Ensure accurate bookings, accruals, reconciliations, and allocations to cost and profit centres.
• Be the main contact for external and internal audit matters.
• Support tax and legal compliance processes, including VAT and other declarations.
• Evaluate internal controls and risks, and propose improvements.
• Contribute to Netherlands and global process optimization projects.
• Support FP&A with financial transparency and follow-up.
