Job summary

Meijer & Zanoli is seeking an ambitious Financial Controller to strengthen financial reporting, budgeting, and controls. Reporting to the CFO, you will lead the finance team and collaborate across departments to drive accuracy and insight.

Responsibilities include overseeing monthly, quarterly, and annual closes, preparing statements in line with Dutch GAAP, improving AO/IC, budgeting, cash flow, audits, and ERP-driven process improvements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in financial control, accounting, or similar roles.
• Strong understanding of Dutch GAAP.
• Proficiency with financial software and ERP systems (Exact).
• HBO/WO degree in a relevant financial area.

• Prepare and manage financial statements, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations; improve AO/IC of the companies.
• Collaborate on annual budgets and forecasts and conduct variance analysis to monitor and improve financial performance.
• Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance financial efficiency and data accuracy.
• Manage cash flow, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll processes; in-source financial processes currently externally managed and manage the operational finance team.
• Support audits and liaise with external auditors and accountants to ensure regulatory- and fiscal-compliance.

This position will report directly to the CFO. Working closely with our finance team and other departments, you’ll be responsible for overseeing financial reporting and budgeting.

Main responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting and financial activities, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting. Keep up to date balance sheet files.
• Prepare and manage financial statements, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations. Improve AO/IC of the companies.
• Collaborate on annual budgets and forecasts and conduct variance analysis to monitor and improve financial performance. Provide more in detail insights into the financials.
• Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance financial efficiency and data accuracy.
• Manage cash flow, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll processes. Insource financial processes currently externally managed and manage the operational finance team.
• Support audits and liaise with external auditors and accountant to ensure regulatory- and fiscal-compliance.
