Job summary

Mercor is seeking native Dutch speakers to evaluate AI-narrated audiobooks in Dutch. This remote, part-time role offers roughly 20 hours per week and lets you listen as a fan but with an analytic ear to flag moments where narration slips.

You’ll log errors, categorize issues, and report on overall listener satisfaction, helping improve text-to-speech models. Ideal candidates have native Dutch (Netherlands), working English, and strong attention to detail for long listening sessions.

Qualifications

• Native Dutch (Netherlands) speaker with a genuine interest in audiobooks.
• Experience with annotation, labeling, transcription, proofreading, linguistics, or detail-oriented review is a plus.
• Ability to commit about 20 hours per week and work remotely.

Responsibilities

• Listen to AI-narrated Dutch audiobooks and assess naturalness, accuracy, and enjoyment of narration.
• Spot and log errors in synthesized speech: skipped/added/mispronounced words, phrasing, intonation, or audio glitches.
• Categorize issues and mark exact spans using review tooling.
• Report on overall listener satisfaction and where narration feels natural vs. breaks the experience.
• Maintain accuracy and consistency across lengthy listening sessions.
