Job summary

Mercor is building a team of native Dutch speakers to evaluate AI-narrated audiobooks in Dutch (Netherlands). You’ll listen with a careful, analytical ear and flag moments where narration slips so models can improve.

This remote, part-time role offers about 20 hours per week and can be done from anywhere, though we prefer candidates in Dutch-speaking regions. You’ll log errors, categorize issues, and report on listener satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native fluency in Dutch (Netherlands) and an active audiobook listener.
• Some working English to report clearly and communicate with the team.
• Experience with annotation, labeling, transcription, proofreading, linguistics, or other detail-oriented review work.
• A sharp, patient ear and discipline to stay accurate over long listening sessions.
• Reliable availability of about 20 hours per week on a part-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Listen to AI-narrated audiobooks in Dutch and assess naturalness, accuracy, and enjoyment.
• Spot and log errors in synthesized speech: skipped, added, mispronounced words, etc.
• Categorize issues and mark exact spans where they occur using review tooling.
• Report on overall listener satisfaction and where narration feels natural vs broken.
• Work consistently across many hours of audio with attention to detail.
