Job summary

Adyen is seeking an Engineering Manager for Regulatory Reporting Data based in Amsterdam. You will lead a cross-functional team to deliver scalable, auditable reporting products and align engineering with regulatory needs across Compliance, Legal, Finance and Product.

You will drive architecture, mentoring, and delivery, while balancing technical debt with evolving regulatory requirements. This role emphasizes ownership, collaboration, and a data-driven culture within an office-first environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years leading engineering teams.
• 5+ years hands-on software or data engineering.
• Strong ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team toward measurable outcomes, reducing manual work in the reporting cycle.
• Align regulatory reporting initiatives with Adyen's vision, securing early understanding and resourcing.
• Launch and iterate on the Adyen Formula with real-world feedback, while meeting deadlines and accuracy.
• Prioritize roadmaps, balance technical debt and regulatory changes with new reporting capabilities.
• Mentor and grow engineering talent, plan hires and develop the team.
• Provide architecture direction for large-scale data/software projects; balance hands-on work with leadership.
• Foster ownership, autonomy, open communication, constructive feedback.
• Identify RegTech trends to drive automation and competitive advantage.
